The director of the institute is appointed by the dean of the Faculty of Arts and is ultimately responsible for all UiL OTS-activities. The director is assisted by the UiL OTS management staff who work under his direct responsibility and a management & administrative support team of the Faculty. The director is supported by a mostly external Advisory Board and by the Research Committee which consists of the chairs of the research groups. The meetings of the Advisory board are attended by the dean of the faculty. Faculty, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are all affiliated with one of the six research groups. A programme committee in which the graduate students are represented advises the management with respect to the graduate programme.
